高密度聚乙烯為無毒、無味、無臭的白色顆粒，熔點約為130℃，相對密度為0.941~0.960。它具有良好的耐熱性和耐寒性，化學穩定性好，還具有較高的剛性和韌性，機械強度好。介電性能,耐環境應力開裂性亦較好。
貯存(cun)時應(ying)遠離火源(yuan)，隔熱，倉庫內應(ying)保持干燥、整潔(jie)，嚴(yan)禁混(hun)入任何(he)雜質(zhi)，嚴(yan)禁日曬、雨淋。運輸(shu)應(ying)貯放在清潔(jie)、干燥有(you)頂棚(peng)的車廂或船艙內，不得(de)有(you)鐵釘等(deng)尖(jian)銳物。嚴(yan)禁與易燃的芳香焰、鹵代豎等(deng)有(you)機溶劑(ji)混(hun)運。
